Purple Mountain Arts Residency Welcomes 75 SHOTS

This year, 75 SHOTS, a collective of queer filmmakers and artists from across Africa and beyond, will converge at Purple Mountain Arts Residency. For nearly a decade, these artists—many living in countries where homosexuality is criminalised—have worked together virtually, bridging continents with shared stories of resilience and imagination. Now, during South Africa’s autumn, a season of quiet transformation, they will meet in person for the first time, stepping into the stillness of the Purple Mountain Arts Residency to collaborate, create, heal, connect and explore the transformative power of filmmaking.
